I havn’ t had an office party in probably 10 years. I’ve always been in an office of 2 or 3 people so this will be a little differnt for me. If you see a low-speed pursuit of an Allroad on the news tonight, you all know what happened and who it is.

My first real job was a company that hired a bunch of 20somethings including myself into entry level positions and let them si nk or swi m. So the holiday parties were shenanigans incarnate. But after a few years I realized I really didn’t care to be involved in said shenanigans. Ever since then my position on these parties is I’ll show up, make my obligatory appearance, be sociable with whoever needs to be socialized with from an office politics perspective, and dip the fuck out ASAP.

at 34 i’m the 2nd youngest here out of about 12 people. Hope ully they are all mature enough so I don’ t get sucked into their black hole of debauchery

My work party is tomorrow night. We don’t get any sort of bonuses or anything so the old saying, drink your bonus, applies. But this will be the first party with the new lady so I’m going to behave myself. I’ll probably just fill up on the good food instead. Eat my bonus lol.

I definitely got drunk at mine. But I made the very wise decision to stop drinking after I lacked the dexterity to extract the somewhat frozen together ice from the ice bucket.
